On Wednesday 26 April, the Education team at Family Planning Tasmania came together for a training day focused on program development and review. The team spent the entire day collaborating, sharing research, and working on new programs.

The Education team is responsible for delivering a range of programs across Tasmania, aimed at promoting sexual and reproductive health education. These programs cover a diverse range of topics, from puberty and sexuality education for young people, to contraceptive options and sexual health for adults. Learn more about our enriching programs here>>.  The team is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based education to the community.

The training day was an opportunity for the team to review our current programs and develop new content. The team shared their experiences and insights, providing valuable feedback to help refine and improve existing programs. They also worked together to develop new programs, drawing on their collective expertise and research.

The day was a great success, with the team achieving their goals of developing and reviewing content. The team was also able to bond and build stronger relationships, working together in a supportive and collaborative environment. The training day provided an opportunity to reflect on the important work that the team does and to share their passion for sexual and reproductive health education.

At Family Planning Tasmania, we recognise that education is a key component of improving sexual and reproductive health outcomes. Our Education team is dedicated to delivering high-quality programs that are responsive to the needs of the Tasmanian community. We are committed to ongoing learning and development, and the training day was an important step in this process.

We are excited to continue our work in delivering sexual and reproductive health education programs across Tasmania. We know that education is a powerful tool for promoting health and wellbeing, and we are proud to be part of an organisation that is making a real difference in people’s lives.
