STI Drop-in Clinics in Launceston – Wednesdays 1:30pm- 3:45pm
We offer a drop-in STI screen clinic in Launceston every Wednesday from 1:30pm – 3:45pm. You don’t need an appointment; just drop in to 93 Paterson Street, Launceston. The clinic is for anyone who needs a regular or routine STI screen. It is run by a registered nurse who is unable to provide prescriptions on the day. If you have symptoms or issues you’d like to get checked out, please book a doctor’s appointment instead. Usual fees apply (no fee for under 21s, full time students or Concession Card holders and $30 for everyone else).
COVID-19 Safety Notice
Please call us to reschedule your appointment or switch to telehealth if you have COVID or are unwell with any cold or flu-like symptoms (even if you have tested negative to COVID).

Online booking through HotDoc is now available for all of our clinics below. Please note that IUD, Medication Termination, Pregnancy Options and Pessary appointments can’t currently be booked online; please call your local reception to book.

When you book an appointment
When you call to make an appointment, our receptionist will ask you a few questions to make sure we book the right appointment for you. Please make sure you have the privacy you need to answer these questions when you call.
Our reception staff will be able to tell you whether your appointment is with a doctor or a nurse and whether there will be any fees.
Confirming your appointment
You will receive an SMS before your appointment asking you to confirm you’re able to attend. Please reply Yes to this SMS to avoid your appointment being cancelled.
Cancellations
Our appointments are in high demand. Should you no longer need yours or if you are unable to attend due to illness or another reason, please phone us as soon as possible to let us know. This can allow us to help someone else.
Support person
You are welcome to bring someone to your appointment such as a friend, partner or relative if you need them for support.
We often need to see clients on their own during a consultation, and your support person may be asked to leave the consult room for a short period of time.
Interpreting services
If you would prefer to talk to your doctor or nurse in a language other than English, we can book a telephone interpreter for you at no additional cost. Please let the receptionist know if you would like an interpreter and which language.
